Job summary

CDM Smith in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced estimator to prepare design/build, engineer, construction management, GMP, and hard-bid estimates and proposals. You will analyze quotations prior to bid day and evaluate bids of subcontractors and suppliers for completeness.

You will develop subcontractor and vendor scopes, provide guidance to junior staff in estimating procedures, and manage bid day and close-out activities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 8 years of related estimating experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design/build, engineer, construction management, GMP, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations both prior to and on bid day; evaluates bids of subcontractors and suppliers for completeness of scope and requirements.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews same for completeness.
• Provides guidance to more junior staff in estimating procedures and the use of estimating software.
• Manages bid day and close out activities.
