Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced estimator in Spokane, WA to support design/build and construction management bids. You will prepare and analyze cost estimates, develop subcontractor scopes, and review bids to ensure completeness and compliance with specifications.

Travel up to 40% may be required as projects are nationwide and international in scope. The role includes mentoring junior staff and utilizing estimating software to deliver world-class cost estimates for diverse projects.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and 8 years of related experience.
Travel 20% - 40%; domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, guaranteed maximum price, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
Analyzes quotations prior to and on bid day.
Evaluates bids of sub-contractors and suppliers for scope, time, and compliance with specs.
Enters quantity take-offs and material unit pricing.
Develops subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews for completeness.
Performs bid day and close out activities.
Provides guidance to junior staff in estimating procedures.
