Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an estimator to prepare design/build, engineer, construction management, GMP, and hard-bid estimates. You will analyze quotations, evaluate subcontractor bids, and manage bid day activities on diverse projects.

The role requires 8 years of related experience, travel between 20% and 40%, and the ability to work across multiple trades with strong communication and software skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 8 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design/build, engineer, construction management, GMP, and hard-bid estimates/proposals.
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day.
• Evaluates bids of subcontractors and suppliers for scope, delivery time, and compliance with specifications.
• Enters quantity take-offs and material unit prices for project.
• Develop subcontractor and vendor scopes and reviews for completeness.
• Manages bid day and close out activities.
