Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Construction has a Senior Estimator opening. You will lead the estimating workflow, review plans and specs, and develop subcontractor bids in coordination with the operations team.

You will build strong relationships with landscape architects, vendors, subs, and clients to ensure accurate, timely proposals. The role emphasizes pricing accuracy, cost control, and value engineering for bid success.

Qualifications

• Extensive estimating experience (3–5+ years) in landscape/construction
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specs
• Strong communication and relationship-building with subs and clients
• Proficiency with estimation software and MS Office tools
• Organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Manage estimating workflow to deliver complete proposals before bid deadlines
• Lead estimating team and coordinate with internal Operations
• Develop partnerships with Operations, Architects, Vendors and Clients
• Review plans/specs to define scope and best production methods
• Prepare bid packages and negotiate subcontractor prices
• Enter bid information and calculate total direct costs
• Develop profit margins and bid summaries; identify value engineering options
