• Proven ability to manage multiple bids, meet tight deadlines, and maintain detail.
• Several years as estimator/senior estimator; field experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of Tulsa area regulations, permitting, and standards.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in CM/CE preferred, or equivalent experience.

Role Description The Senior Estimator – Heavy Civil Road Construction is a full-time, on-site role based in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area. This position is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for road, paving, and heavy civil projects, including quantity take-offs, labor and equipment costing, and material pricing. The Senior Estimator reviews plans and specifications, analyzes subcontractor and supplier quotes, and develops competitive bids and proposals. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and engineers, participating in bid reviews, refining estimating methodologies, and maintaining current pricing and production data. The role also involves identifying cost-saving opportunities, assessing project risks, and supporting contract negotiations to ensure accurate and timely estimate submissions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in heavy civil and road construction estimating, including asphalt, concrete, earthwork, utilities, and related scopes.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools, digital take-off platforms, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to manage multiple bids, meet tight deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Several years of experience as an estimator or senior estimator in heavy civil or road construction; prior field experience is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and industry standards in the Tulsa Metropolitan Area and surrounding regions.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
