KingRecruitingServices in San Diego, CA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead estimating and bid preparation for major heavy civil infrastructure projects across Southern California, including Caltrans and public works.

The role requires 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience, strong knowledge of Caltrans specs, and the ability to develop competitive bids and production-based estimates. Opportunities for growth with senior leadership in a dynamic regional team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction estimating experience.
• Experience estimating Caltrans highway and California public works projects.
• Strong knowledge of Caltrans specifications, plans, bid requirements, and construction standards.
• Experience with earthwork, grading, paving, structural concrete, underground utilities, and roadways.

Responsabilités

• Lead preparation of detailed estimates and competitive bids for large-scale heavy civil projects.
• Review Caltrans specifications, plans, special provisions, drawings and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and develop pricing for labor, equipment, materials, subs, and indirect costs.
• Develop production rates for high-volume grading, excavation, paving, and civil operations.
• Coordinate bid reviews and pricing strategy with senior management.
