Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience estimating in construction.
• Knowledge of construction design, methods and finance.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposal estimates for heavy civil construction including dirt work, utilities, and concrete.
• Review specifications and drawings to determine scope and contents of the estimate.
• Perform complete takeoffs to develop estimated costs.
• Maintain estimating cost data to ensure up-to-date information.
• Review design options and recommend cost-effective solutions.
• Obtain bids from subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Support other department personnel as required.
