Job summary

LVI Associates, on behalf of a Texas-based heavy civil and utility contractor, is seeking a Senior Estimator/Lead Estimator in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role leads complete estimates from pursuit through submission on water/wastewater, heavy civil, and infrastructure projects, with opportunities to shape bid strategies and win large programs.

You will mentor junior estimators, review plans and contracts, coordinate pricing with subs, and collaborate with operations for a smooth project

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, water/wastewater, transportation, or utility construction.
• Proven experience leading estimates on complex infrastructure projects.
• Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• Experience mentoring junior estimators.
• Strategic mindset for winning bids beyond takeoffs.
• Comfort with large flagship and smaller opportunities.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

A well established Texas-based heavy civil and utility contractor is looking to add a Senior Estimator / Lead Estimator to their growing team. With more than $200M in backlog and a strong pipeline of upcoming work, this role offers the opportunity to step into a leadership position and play a key role in shaping the future of the estimating department.

The company is actively pursuing some of the largest infrastructure projects in Texas while maintaining the flexibility to pursue smaller strategic opportunities that keep crews working and revenue flowing. They are seeking an experienced estimator who can not only build competitive estimates but also develop winning bid strategies, mentor junior estimators, and help drive overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complete estimates from pursuit through submission
• Develop bid strategies that position the company to win work
