Job summary

Triad Fabricators, LLC., based in Evansville, Indiana, seeks a Senior Estimator to generate quotations for complex fabrication opportunities by reviewing scope, codes, drawings, and documents.

You will coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to determine labor, materials, and process costs, producing detailed quotations and ensuring timely submittals.

Travel is required to training and meetings; a Civil Engineering background and 10+ years field experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of field experience in bridge, marine, large-scale concrete structures, or underground construction preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience with Tekla PowerFab preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads estimating efforts, including prioritizing and scheduling the estimating schedule.
• Manages customer expectations through communication of capabilities, capacities, and lead times.
• Reviews scope of work (SOW), customer requirements, specifications, codes and standards to identify required resources.
• Distills SOW data to prepare preliminary manufacturing routings consisting of labor operations, material requirements, subcontracted services and all other cost associated with the SOW.
• Identifies and accounts for poorly defined requirements and high-risk activities and processes.
• Communicates with customer to obtain clarification of all missing or unclear requirements.
• Acquires and applies costs of materials and subcontracted operations through direct contact with vendors or communicating pricing support needs to internal resources.
• Confers with internal supporting resources to determine and review the project requirements and schedule.
• Generates detailed estimates of cost for the labor, materials, special processes, testing, inspection, and documentation requirements needed to perform the SOW.
• Prepares detailed quotation documentation for submittal to the customer.
