Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our Building Engineering Services group. You will develop capital cost estimates, support proposals, and provide technical direction across multidisciplinary teams for data centers, healthcare, and industrial projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10+ years of experience, advanced skills in MS Office and estimating concepts, and the ability to lead small project estimates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in construction estimating and cost control.
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software and estimating concepts.
• Ability to lead small project estimates and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform general or discipline cost estimating and generate capital cost estimates.
• Support estimate reporting and reviews.
• Provide technical direction to assigned personnel.
• Execute multiple tasks within defined parameters.
• Prepare cost estimates in specialized discipline areas using current pricing.
• Develop unit rates and pricing for labor and ODCs.
• Assist in developing conceptual quantities for design-build projects.
• Prepare basis and assumption documentation and fee calculations.
• Quantify escalation and support risk analysis as needed.
• Participate in estimate reviews and presentations.
