Job summary

CDM Smith in the United States is seeking an experienced estimator to support design/build, construction management, and hard-bid projects. You will prepare cost estimates, analyze bids, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.

Travel is required (20%–40%), and domestic/international opportunities may arise. A high school diploma plus 8 years of related experience is expected; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 8+ years related estimating experience.
• Travel domestically and internationally may be required.
• Experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Prepares estimates and proposals (design/build, GC, hard-bid).
• Analyzes quotations prior to bid day.
• Evaluates bids for scope, delivery time, and compliance.
• Enter quantity take-offs and material unit pricing.
• Develop subcontractor/vendor scopes and review for completeness.
• Manages bid day and closeout activities.
