Job summary

JRM Construction is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead cost assessments for complex projects, review subcontractor bids, and develop accurate takeoffs.

The role requires a four-year degree and 7–10 years of budgeting/estimating experience in ground-up residential, hospitality, mixed-use, and large renovations; proficiency with Procore and On-Screen Takeoff is preferred, and the ability to work under tight bid deadlines is essential.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree and 7-10 years minimum experience in budgeting/estimating ground-up projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Experience reading commercial construction plans and specs; NYC subcontractor knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of project estimating from concept to bid packages.
• Prepare detailed budgets from pre-construction documents and perform takeoffs.
• Initiate and manage bid process with subcontracts; level bids and issue purchase orders.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and subs; present estimates in meetings.
• Conduct site visits to capture scope and support value engineering ideas.
