MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the development of accurate, competitive estimates for complex projects across our Seattle, Spokane, Kennewick and Portland offices. You will mentor estimators and partner with operations, engineering, and leadership to drive profitable work.

The role requires deep understanding of trade means & methods, site visits, and clear storytelling of the estimate rationale. Compensation reflects seniority and regional market norms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in construction estimating (senior-level experience preferred).
• Proven success estimating complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Deep knowledge of construction trade means & methods.
• Strong proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and cost databases.
• Experience reviewing contracts, scopes, and technical documents.
• Ability to lead pursuits and support bid strategy discussions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required with equivalent experience).

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process from pursuit through turnover, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Develop concise narrative and present estimates to leadership and clients.
• Mentor and elevate junior estimators and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering to improve margins and schedules.
