We are looking for a highly skilled Estimator to join our Industrial and Commercial Paint Team.

CHERRY COATINGS is an innovator and pioneer in advanced techniques for a wide variety of commercial projects. Specializing in Architectural Coatings, Shop Coatings, and Floor Coatings, we are committed to delivering beyond expectations.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly analyze drawings and specifications.
• Attend job site walks to review existing conditions; partner with Field teams.
• Understand contractual terms and conditions.
• Provide clear, detailed quantity take-offs.
• Assemble estimates and proposals.
• Actively track & follow up on all bids.
• Organize subcontractors’ quotations to ensure accuracy of all required documents.
• Draft Project budgets and review schedules.
• Assemble the Preconstruction Review with the Operations team.
• Ability to engage, develop & influence business with New and Existing Customers.
• Attend & participate in business meetings, industry conferences, and network activities.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in preconstruction.
• Deep experience with takeoff software.
• Ability to review takeoffs and proposals.
• Skilled in multiple project types.
• High level of fluency in reading plans, specifications & related documents.
• Strong eye for detail.
• Able to maintain focus & deliver against deadlines.
• Experience and familiarity with the construction industry.
• Competent with technology/programs PlanSwift, PlanGrid, Building Connected, MS Office Suite, specifically Excel.
• Above-average written & verbal communication and math skills.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, variable working hours both in the office & the field.
• Enjoy various challenges from takeoff to sales.
• Graduate in an engineering, architectural, or construction management program is a benefit.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
