Job summary

Qualified Recruiter, LLC seeks a Senior Estimator for commercial drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, and related interior-construction projects in Orlando. You will perform detailed takeoffs, prepare budgets and bids, review plans and specs, coordinate pricing with suppliers and subs, lead pre-bid planning, and mentor junior estimators.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel, math, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience managing multiple bids with competing deadlines.

A commercial specialty contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare and manage estimates for drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceiling, and related interior-construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Complete detailed material and labor takeoffs
• Prepare budgets, proposals, and competitive bids
• Review plans, specifications, addenda, building codes, and project requirements
• Coordinate pricing with suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Lead pre-bid planning, site visits, RFIs, and estimate reviews
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities
• Maintain estimating data, production rates, and historical pricing
• Collaborate with project managers and field leadership during project handoffs
• Build relationships with general contractors and project partners
• Support and mentor less-experienced estimators

Qualifications

• Five or more years of relevant commercial estimating experience
• Knowledge of drywall, metal framing, acoustical ceilings, or similar specialty trades
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience managing multiple bids and competing deadlines
• Strong Excel, mathematical, analytical, and communication skills
• Estimating-software experience is preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Schedule and Travel

This is a Monday-through-Friday position. Occasional additional hours may be required to meet bid deadlines. Approved travel to jobsites, client meetings, and the Tampa market will include mileage and toll reimbursement.
