Job summary

Vertical Mechanical Group is seeking an Estimator for our Sterling, VA HQ to develop cost estimates for large-scale commercial plumbing and HVAC projects. This onsite role blends negotiated hard bids with design-build work, requiring coordination with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to deliver accurate projections.

You’ll collaborate with project stakeholders, apply strong analytic and writing skills, and help VMG optimize bids while upholding client goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating, engineering, construction, or project management experience in related markets.
• Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing professionals is required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Excellent writing, organization, and communication skills.
• Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• General knowledge of construction principles and practices.
• Team player with a passion for innovation and optimization.

Responsibilities
