Job summary

Kimmel Associates in Atlanta is seeking an experienced Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial construction projects. You will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to develop bids and win new business.

The ideal candidate has hands-on estimating experience in fast-food restaurants, retail, commercial, or similar construction, and can manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of construction estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Previous estimating experience in restaurant, fast-food, retail, commercial, or similar construction.
• Experience estimating projects in the $3M–$6M range.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, materials, scopes of work, and subcontractor pricing.
• Proven ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate project costs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Stable career history and demonstrated interest in long-term professional growth.
• Must be based in or willing to work in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and competitive bids for fast-food restaurant, retail, and commercial construction projects.
• Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
• Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and develop project budgets.
• Solicit, analyze, and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
• Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and supporting documentation.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting critical bid deadlines.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
