Job summary

Tiello LLC is partnering with a premier Commercial General Contractor in Southern Los Angeles to hire a Senior Estimator for ground-up and TI projects in Commercial, Restaurant, Gas Station, Retail, and Hospitality sectors. The ideal candidate will lead successful construction estimates and manage budgets on projects up to $30 million.

The role requires 5+ years as an estimator, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment in Long Beach, CA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as an Estimator for a reputable Commercial General Contractor.
• Experience estimating Commercial, Restaurant, Gas Station, Retail, and Hospitality Ground-Up and TI construction projects up to $30M.
• Strong work ethic, detail oriented, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematics, and judgment.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price.
• Develop accurate material, equipment, and labor estimates.
• Negotiate cost-effective contract and material purchases.
• Set up and implement job procedures to ensure timely buyout, shop drawing approval, and material delivery.
• Maintain the project schedule and budget.
• Provide value-engineered solutions when applicable.
• Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop safety plans and procedures.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and contractors.

Job Responsibilities:

• Able to perform all essential Senior Estimator job responsibilities


• Estimate and establish budgets and contract price


• Develop Accurate Material, Equipment, and Labor Estimates

• Maintain the project schedule and budget

• 5+ years as an Estimator managing projects estimations for a reputable Commercial General Contractor


• Experience Estimating Commercial, Restaurant, Gas Station, Retail, and Hospitality Ground-Up and TI Construction Projects ranging in value up to $30 M


• Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently


• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical, and sound judgment skills
