Jobot is seeking a Senior Estimator for commercial construction in Pennsylvania to lead cost estimation, bidding, and budget planning for diverse projects—from ground-up to multifamily and healthcare. Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of construction estimating experience, with a proven track record in commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial sectors.
• Strong background in negotiations, bidding, and takeoffs.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver accurate cost estimates for diverse construction projects (commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, industrial).
• Analyze designs and specs to identify cost risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids covering all project aspects.
• Manage contracts including negotiation and finalization of terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Conduct pre-construction evaluations, site assessments, and method/material analyses.
• Utilize industry software for estimation, cost management, and takeoff.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to align goals and expectations.

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in the construction industry and contribute to our commitment in delivering high-quality construction projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, managing, and execution of cost estimation and project bidding. This role will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for exceeding client expectations and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for diverse construction projects including commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial sectors.
• Perform detailed analysis of project designs and specifications to identify potential cost risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and submit competitive project bids, ensuring all aspects of the project are covered.
• Manage contracts, including negotiation and finalization of terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project management teams to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Conduct pre-construction evaluations, including site assessments and analysis of construction methods and materials.
• Utilize industry software for project estimation, cost management, and takeoff.
• Regularly liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Must have strong background in commercial estimating.
• Must have strong background in negotiations, bidding and takeoffs.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record in commercial, multi-unit, retail, hospital, and industrial sectors.
• Must be strong using Excel.
• Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and the latest industry trends.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, contract negotiation, and budgeting.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a keen ability to manage and mitigate cost risks.
• Proficient in using industry-standard software for cost estimation, project planning, and takeoff.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach to work.
• A team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
