Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in support of large-scale civil, structural and architectural scopes from concept through detailed design. The role focuses on developing and delivering accurate estimates across CSA packages, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing data-driven cost advice to clients.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, 5–7 years in cost management, and a track record on major projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction cost management roles.
• Experience on large-scale construction projects and programs.
• Knowledge of value management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions with internal/external staff.
• Deliver and present updated cost plans at design milestones.
• Provide program-level estimates for specific scopes of work.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff.
• Review proposed design changes/new technologies and prepare estimates with appropriate accuracy.
• Help drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects.
• Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level.
• Support training to development and external estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.
• Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, adhered to where applicable.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in support of large-scale construction projects and programs. This position will focus on the development and delivery of estimates for Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) scopes across all phases of project delivery, from concept through detailed design.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate and comprehensive estimating services for CSA packages, including site development, earthworks, utilities, foundations, concrete, steel structures, building envelope, architectural finishes, and related construction elements. The successful candidate will have experience supporting complex construction programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary design and construction teams, and providing data-driven cost advice to clients and stakeholders.

This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to develop, review, and communicate estimates across multiple project stages while supporting strategic decision-making, value engineering initiatives, and cost benchmarking efforts.

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.
• Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.
• Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.

Additional Information

*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

The base salary range for this role is $150K-$165K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
