Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in support of large-scale construction projects, delivering estimates for Civil, Structural and Architectural scopes from concept through detailed design.

The successful candidate will communicate clearly with multidisciplinary teams, provide data-driven cost advice, support value engineering, and help drive cost model trends across programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction cost management.
• Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction estimates.
• Strong knowledge of CSA estimating, value engineering and cost benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Develop cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions.
• Deliver updated cost plans at design milestones.
• Provide program-level estimates for specific scopes of work.
• Coordinate, manage, and supervise support staff.
• Review proposed design changes and prepare estimates with appropriate accuracy.
• Help drive cost model trends by analyzing cost information from completed projects.
• Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and VE ideas at a program level.
• Support training for Development and external Estimating teams on new tools/templates.
• Support preparation of leadership presentations for Preconstruction and Estimating teams.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role.

Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team in support of large-scale construction projects and programs. This position will focus on the development and delivery of estimates for Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) scopes across all phases of project delivery, from concept through detailed design.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate and comprehensive estimating services for CSA packages, including site development, earthworks, utilities, foundations, concrete, steel structures, building envelope, architectural finishes, and related construction elements. The successful candidate will have experience supporting complex construction programs, collaborating with multidisciplinary design and construction teams, and providing data-driven cost advice to clients and stakeholders.

This role requires strong analytical skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to develop, review, and communicate estimates across multiple project stages while supporting strategic decision-making, value engineering initiatives, and cost benchmarking efforts.

• Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates.
• Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in a construction cost management role such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, Cost Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Cost Controls etc.
• Experience providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.
• Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs
• Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as value management and value engineering.

Additional Information

*On-site presence and requirements may change depending on our client's needs.

The base salary range for this role is $150K-$165K USD. This range reflects the company's good faith estimate of the base salary for this position at the time of the posting. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
