Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing estimates for ASME pressure vessels, API storage tanks, and shop-fabricated equipment, performing quantity take-offs, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to determine fabrication methods and rates.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of estimating experience in pressure vessels or shop-fabricated tanks.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication details.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates for ASME pressure vessels, API storage tanks, and other shop-fabricated equipment.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and technical requirements.
• Perform material quantity take-offs from engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Develop estimates for: Plate, pipe, fittings, and structural steel; Shop fabrication labor hours; Equipment, consumables, and subcontracted services.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and shop personnel to determine fabrication methods and production rates.
• Develop bid summaries and assist with proposal preparation.
• Participate in internal bid review meetings.
• Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information.
• Support project teams with estimate reconciliation and cost comparisons when projects are awarded.
