Job summary

PALA Interstate, LLC in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a candidate to prepare cost estimates and schedules for construction projects to aid management in bidding and project planning. Qualifications

Five years of field experience or degree in construction management/engineering.
Basic accounting knowledge.
Experience with Inventor and AutoCAD R14 or higher.
Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Internet and email applications.
Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and meet appropriate motor vehicle insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

Studies drawings, plans and specifications to get overall picture of work to be done; performs calculations.
Conducts a job walk to assess field conditions and environment.
Compiles materials, tools or equipment needed and personnel requirements.
Coordinates with various roles to plan sequence of work and client agreement on schedule.
Computes overall cost estimates for materials, labor and subcontracted work; updates on projects weekly/biweekly.
Keeps constant verbal and written communication with all parties involved in each job.
Inputs information and issues reports using basic computer skills.
