Job summary

Fann Contracting, Inc., a family-owned contractor with 65 years in business, is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator in Prescott, AZ for DOT, highway paving, mass excavation, and pipeline construction projects ranging from $1M to $50M.

Minimum qualifications include an industry-specific B.S. degree or equivalent, 10+ years of estimating experience, and proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid. Relocation assistance and a company vehicle are available.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate full estimating services on heavy-civil and heavy-highway projects.
• Review specifications and plans.
• Attend bid meetings and site visits.
• Verify accuracy of quantity take-offs.
• Bid and pre-construction scoping.
• Solicit and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare preliminary pre-bid schedules.
• Coordinate bid hand-offs to project management.

Now hiring for an experienced Heavy-Civil Estimator with DOT, Highway Paving, Mass Excavation and Pipeline Construction experience.

Our family-owned 65-year company specializes in mass excavation, rock handling, underground utilities, private and public infrastructure, asphalt paving, aggregate crushing, asphalt hot plant production, and much more. Our projects include public and private entities including ADOT, FHWA, BIA, city and county municipalities, private residential and commercial. As a SENIOR ESTIMATOR for us, you’ll estimate future jobs ranging from $1M to $50M. Candidates should possess a solid working knowledge of HCSS HeavyBid Software.

General team member responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

• Provide and coordinate full estimating services on heavy-civil and heavy-highway construction projects
• Review of specifications and plans
• Attend weekly bid meetings and site visits/meetings
• Verify accuracy of quantity take-offs
• Bid and pre-construction scoping
• Solicit and coordinate subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Prepare preliminary pre-bid schedules
• Issue subcontractor award notices or letters of intent
• Work with Contracts and Estimating Departments and administrators to prepare statements of qualifications
• Work to acquire competitive and successful bids
• Coordinate successful bid hand-offs to project management and job supervisory team
  

Minimum qualifications include an industry-specific B.S Degree or equivalent work experience both in the field and in a lead estimating role. A minimum 10-years of hands-on estimating and knowledge with HCSS bidding software are a plus. This opening is located at our headquarters in Prescott, AZ.
