Job summary

LHH in Phoenix seeks a Senior Construction Estimator with 10+ years of experience to translate plans, specs, and numbers into competitive bids. This role offers direct access to leadership and ownership of estimates from initial takeoff through final proposal and project turnover.

You’ll lead labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing, and collaborate on site visits, pre-bid meetings, and estimating discussions to deliver winning bids.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience with bid development from takeoff to turnover.
• Ability to identify scope gaps and risks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and complete construction estimates.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
• Solicit, analyze, level, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Prepare competitive proposals, cost narratives, and pricing breakdowns.
• Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and estimating discussions.
• Partner with operations to ensure a smooth turnover after award.
• Track estimated versus actual costs to sharpen future bids.
