Job summary

ASM Tech Solutions is seeking a Lead Estimator for heavy civil/construction in McPherson, KS. The role entails handling estimates from takeoff through bid submission and guiding bids to profitability.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years of estimating experience across heavy civil, concrete, utilities, and earthwork projects, with $200K-$7M bid experience, strong takeoff skills, and proficiency in HCSS HeavyBid. On-site work required, 45–50 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction estimating experience.
• Experience with Heavy Civil, Concrete, Utilities, Earthwork, Foundations, Industrial, Commercial, or Municipal projects.
• Experience estimating projects ranging from $200K-$7M.
• Strong experience with quantity takeoffs, pricing, cost analysis, and bid preparation.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of labor, materials, equipment, production costs, and project risks.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
• Ability to independently manage estimates from takeoff to final bid.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Must be willing to work on-site in McPherson, Kansas.
• Ability to work approximately 45-50 hours/week.

Responsibilities
