Job summary

Advanced Landscape 2000 in Sylmar, CA is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead end-to-end estimating, from concept budgets through final bids. You will work with project managers, field crews, and clients to ensure accurate, competitive proposals that help win projects.

The ideal candidate has a solid landscape background, experience across all project phases, and strong negotiation and communication skills, with advanced computer proficiency including estimating software.

Qualifications

• Solid background in the landscape industry (commercial/public sector required; construction or civil a plus).
• Experience estimating across all project phases.

Responsibilities

• Study and analyze civil, architectural, and landscape blueprints and specifications.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals and negotiate competitive pricing.
• Prepare estimates at all design stages (conceptual to CD).
• Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead RFP responses and bid submissions.
• Identify technical issues and project logistics early; negotiate with clients.
• Collaborate with project managers for seamless handoff.
