Job summary

INTREN is seeking a Senior Lead Estimator to drive high-quality bid proposals for multiple regions, guiding strategy and estimating practices. You will manage assigned estimates, perform post-project analyses, and help standardize WBS and item databases in B2W. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

You will oversee complex multimillion-dollar bids, support other regions, and participate in department-wide reporting. Remote work is possible for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Business, or Technical degree and or Typically 4 -7 years of related experience.
• Experience in Electrical Transmission/Distribution Overhead or Distribution Underground estimating.
• Market experience with utility/contractor services.
• Must possess leadership qualities and effective oral and written communication.
• Ability to manage shared resources to achieve departmental goals.
• Ability to oversee multimillion-dollar contract bid proposals.
• Team player able to work within a cross functional environment.
• Able to work remotely

Responsibilities

• Conduct cost challenges along with quality and accuracy checks to estimates in their region.
• Understand the intricacies of the estimating software (including B2W).
• Responsible for post project analysis of their and their team's estimates (Estimates vs. Actuals).
• Maintain standardized bidding practices and provide feedback to Director of Operations.
• Assist to create, standardize, and implement WBS and Item Database Resources in B2W.
• Assist in the development and training of assigned estimators.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

:

Senior Lead Estimators will be responsible for the production of high-quality bid proposals for all customers in the company. Have a firm understanding of the different regional or work group strategies including Gap Revenue needs. Will communicate with the Directors of that region which RFP’s they are supporting. Will manage assigned estimates. Will estimate and oversee the preparation of proposals. Give weekly reports during the department meetings. Will assist to create, standardize, and implement WBS and Item Database Resources in B2W. Oversee that the estimating processes is being adhered to for all estimates in the company including those done by others (PM’s, APM’s, etc.). Will provide support to other regions to achieve departmental goa ls.
