Key Responsibilities:
- Provide material take offs on drawings and plans.
- Coordinate drawings and scope of work to ensure proper bid coverage.
- Prepare detailed breakdowns of estimates.
- Prepare and submit RFI’s for projects
- Understand contractual terms and conditions.
- Organize all material and sub-contractor quotation to ensure quotes meet contract documents and align with buying the project out.
- Analyze drawing and specifications
- Prepare cost analysis recapping material, labor, equipment, subcontractor incurred in the installation of items.
- Analyze and strategize bids, competitors, margin, and bid closure.
- Complete budgeting input in accounting software.
- Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all documentation is clearly organization in estimating folder for turn over to production.
- Site visits to record information about access and job logistics to ensure accurate bid.
- Accumulate, evaluate, and document historical cost data and construction procedures and methods.
- Review special proposal requirements with Project Management.
- Maintain addendum control.
- Assemble scope letter with qualifications and exclusions of each specific project.
- Work on multiple projects: perform multi-tasking and planning for future.
- Prepare value engineering options.
- Ensure that all bid forms are completed and properly executed.
- Review and analyze plans and specs to determine project requirements
- Establish partnerships with owners, contractors, architects, to gain their cooperation when dealing with any items to be resolved during the bid process
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in commercial landscape construction estimating or project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or Civil Engineering preferred
- Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook). On Screen Take-Off a plus
- Understanding of Construction Budgeting, Job Costing
- Highly detailed,organized, process oriented, goal driven, and focused on results, meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
- Strong oral/written communication skills, ethics, and integrity
$80,000 - $90,000 annual plus bonus
- In-office position: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
