Job summary

Bestmark National is seeking a Senior Estimator in Irvington, NJ to lead cost estimation for custom architectural millwork and detailed construction bids. The role requires deep experience with plans, takeoffs, and coordinating with project teams.

You will analyze blueprints, perform quantity takeoffs, and prepare accurate, competitive estimates while communicating with PMs, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure timely, win-ready bids.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on estimating experience in the custom architectural millwork, woodworking and millwork fabrication industries.
• Interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, finish schedules, and specifications.
• Experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and calculating material, labor, fabrication, finishing, and installation costs.
• Familiarity with millwork materials, hardware, finishes, fabrication methods, and construction techniques.
• Experience in takeoff software - Planswift
• Ability to identify scope gaps, technical discrepancies, and potential cost risks before submitting bids.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple estimates and meet demanding bid deadlines independently.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Estimator, located in Irvington, NJ.
