Job summary

DAVIS Construction in the Washington, DC area seeks Estimating Manager and Senior Estimating Manager to lead bid strategy for large commercial pursuits. You will coordinate budgets, GMP development, and cost planning across multiple projects while mentoring Estimators and collaborating with operations.

The role offers hybrid flexibility within the DMV region and requires a strong track record leading complex bids and delivering successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
• Experience leading bids, trade coordination, and bid-day activities.
• Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall bid strategy, planning, and assembly for large and complex commercial pursuits.
• Develop pursuit-specific work plans, resources, and ensure RFP compliance.
• Direct budgeting, estimating, GMP development, and cost planning across multiple projects.
• Lead internal bid reviews, risk analysis, constructability reviews, and VE discussions.
• Present pricing strategies and recommendations to executives and clients.
• Mentor Estimators and Estimating Managers; guide scoping and pursuit execution.
• Collaborate with Operations to support turnover and trade partner buyouts.

Education
