Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Estimator specializing in electrical scope within the AMER Estimating and Cost Control (ECC) organization. You will provide bottoms-up and top-down electrical estimating for AWS data center construction across AMER and globally, collaborating with regional teams and Design Engineering on BOD cost inputs and design standards.

A strong focus on MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, transformers, and related electrical packages.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience with electrical quantity takeoff from one-lines, panel schedules, specifications.
5+ years of electrical construction cost estimating for commercial/industrial projects.
Proficient with estimating tools such as Accubid, Trimble/McCormick, Bluebeam, OST, RSMeans.

Responsibilities

Produce detailed, bottoms-up electrical construction cost estimates for MV/LV distribution and related systems.
Collaborate with regional teams on Basis of Design electrical cost inputs.
Deliver rapid cost impact assessments for electrical designs and innovations.
Support new regions with electrical estimates for market entry.
Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoff and pricing from drawings and specs.
Develop and maintain the electrical cost database with unit rates and pricing.
Review and validate 3P vendor electrical estimates.
Benchmark electrical estimates against portfolio actuals to identify trends.
Contribute to estimating tools and templates with lessons learned.
