Job description

• Permanent position for a Senior Estimating Manager, responsible for the preconstruction and estimating function for the roadway safety division.
• Build, lead, and develop an estimating team.
• Standardize estimating workflows, cost models, and bid submission templates to ensure repeatability and scale across divisions.
• Review bid invitations, specifications, and drawings to define scope, schedule, risk, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Produce and oversee detailed cost estimates across labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes.
• Maintain internal cost databases, production rates, and unit pricing, and analyze cost trends to inform pricing strategy.
• Manage handoff to project management and operations with validated scopes, schedules, and assumptions.
• Oversee prequalification submissions and compliance with public-agency procurement requirements.
• BS in Civil Engineering, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of estimating experience in civil construction or roadway safety.
• Strong understanding of DOT specifications, the public works bid process, and government contracts.
• Proficiency with estimating software.
• Working knowledge of steel structures, concrete, and shop fabrication.
