Job summary

Faced The Facial Studio in Charlotte is seeking a Senior Esthetician to deliver customized facials and Hydrafacials, educate clients on skin science, and mentor junior team members while upholding service excellence and safety standards.

The role is full-time with weekend availability, a strong compensation package including benefits, PTO, and product discounts. North Carolina esthetician license required and 3+ years of professional experience preferred.

Join Faced as we open our flagship Charlotte location, which is set to open in Winter 2026. Faced will join neighboring tenants DryBar, Williams Sonoma, Lake, Sid & Ann Mashburn and many others in conveniently located Specialty Shops SouthPark.

About Faced The Facial Studio:

• Through its team of professional estheticians, Faced The Facial Studio provides its clients customized 30 and 50 minute facials and Hydrafacials using clean, effective product lines. A tailored and educational client approach, convenient and luxurious retail location, extended operating hours, accessible prices without add-on service fees, monthly membership options, and an easy-to-use online booking system help ensure Faced’s custom facials become part of its clients’ monthly skincare routine. Additionally, Faced offers a curated offering of skincare products to continue to enhance our client’s skincare routine at home.
• Faced operates 4 Atlanta area locations and will open its first Charlotte-area location at the Specialty Shops SouthPark.

Position Overview:

Responsible for delivering exemplary, educational, and customized skincare services that drive client retention, brand advocacy, and membership growth. In addition to delivering treatments and curating personalized at-home regimens, the Senior Esthetician serves as a studio leader and mentor, modeling exceptional technical execution, deep ingredient knowledge, and best-in-class client care.

Schedule: Full time including Saturday, Sunday and certain evenings required. Estheticians are to arrive 30 minutes prior to their shift start and may have their schedule changed by 5-15 minutes at the beginning or end of day to accommodate additional bookings.

Estimated Compensation Range (Commission-Based Role): $90k-$110k Annually

Primary Duties:

• Build lasting client relationships to drive repeat visits and membership sign-ups
• Deliver safe, effective, customized, and timely facials in alignment with advanced Faced protocols
• Conduct thorough skin assessments and educate clients on skin science, modalities, and home care
• Mentor team members and model service excellence, consultation standards, and retail recommendations
• Create a relaxing, luxurious and tailored customer experience
• Create, update, and follow a customized treatment plan for each client
• Champion studio cleanliness, safety, and strict adherence to sanitation regulations
• Stay at the forefront of skincare innovations, clean beauty trends, and advanced modalities
• Design, document, and manage comprehensive treatment plans and detailed client records
• Recommend customized at-home skincare regimens and conduct thoughtful post-treatment follow-up
• Foster a collaborative, professional, and client-centric studio environment

Preferred Qualifications and Characteristics:

• 3+ years of professional experience performing custom facials, Hydrafacials, and dermaplaning. (Advanced experience is a plus)
• Prior experience in a senior, lead, mentor, trainer, or educator capacity
• Strong consultation and client-education skills, with the ability to clearly explain treatment choices, ingredients, modalities, aftercare and recommended return timelines
• Advanced knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, formulation science, and clean skincare standards (brand product certifications are a plus)
• Strong leadership attributes
• Work experience with electrical modalities and advanced techniques (Hydrafacial, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, light chemical peels, LED therapy, high frequency, ultrasonic skin scrubber, and facial massage) preferred
• Exceptional consultation, client education, and relationship-building abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Discretion and commitment to maintaining client and studio confidentiality
• Team player with the ability to work independently

License Requirements:

• Valid North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Art Examiners Esthetician License

Physical Requirements:

• This position requires frequent sitting throughout the workday, with periods of walking and standing. The employee must be able to frequently use their hands, wrists, and fingers to perform detailed skincare services, operate treatment equipment, and handle small tools and products. The position requires frequent reaching, bending, stooping, and occasional kneeling. Employees may be required to lift, carry, push, or pull supplies and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. The employee must have sufficient visual ability to perform detailed services safely and sufficient hearing and communication ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. The position may involve exposure to skincare products, fragrances, cleaning products, and other salon/spa-related substances.
