Job summary

RPI Group, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Security System Engineer to support its U.S. Army customer in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance hardware and software integration.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 10 years of engineering experience, a B.S. in engineering, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance; prior federal project experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience.
• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level engineering support for ESS products, equipment, software, and solutions.
• Design, evaluate, integrate, and troubleshoot ESS solutions for intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance.
• Develop technical designs, system architectures, equipment configurations, specifications, and engineering documentation.
• Analyze customer requirements and develop appropriate ESS technical solutions per standards and project requirements.
• Provide technical guidance regarding ESS equipment, software, system integration, and interoperability.
• Support system installation, configuration, integration, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Evaluate existing ESS systems and recommend upgrades, modifications, replacements, or improvements.
• Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal personnel on ESS equipment and system requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, design documentation, test procedures, assessments, and other engineering deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical personnel.
• Support development of approaches, estimates, proposals, and documentation for ESS task orders.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with customers regarding ESS products and solutions.
• Other duties as assigned.
