Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced ESH professional to lead the Environmental, Safety, and Health program for a major petrochemical upgrade project in India. You will guide a high-performance team, ensure integration of ESH requirements into planning, design, construction, and operations, and drive continuous improvement.

The succesful candidate will be onsite in India. Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 8–14 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, safety, health, or science field with relevant experience.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of safety laws/regulations and industry standards.
• Experience managing ESH subcontractors or consultants.

Responsibilities

• Leads the ESH program across projects and ensures compliance.
• Manages ESH personnel development and mentoring.
• Integrates ESH requirements into plans, designs, and construction.
• Applies Bechtel ESH Management System and standards.
• Supports cross-functional teams on ESH compliance.
• Manages budgets, schedules, and resources for ESH.
• Oversees Environmental, Safety, and Health Plans development.
• Establishes emergency preparedness and incident investigations.
• Conducts ESH assessments and audits for regulatory compliance.
• Ensures permitting, studies, and regulatory submittals are completed.
