Cisco seeks a seasoned ERISA and US Benefits attorney to join the People Legal Team. You will shape the legal framework for Cisco’s health, welfare, and retirement programs, advising on governance, filings, and documentation.

You will also lead litigation strategy and collaborate with Global Benefits and Finance to mitigate risks. Reporting to an Associate General Counsel Director, Employment Law, you will manage complex regulatory shifts, including SECURE Act 2.0, and support cross-functional

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academics.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
• 7+ years in ERISA/US Benefits in a big firm or corporate legal department.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal architect for Cisco’s US Benefits programs.
• Provide fiduciary counseling to plan committees and govern ERISA compliance.
• Advise on plan administration, filings, and SPDs; review vendor agreements.
• Lead benefits litigation strategy and regulatory risk mitigation.
• Oversee due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
