Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong fundamental company analysis and financial modelling skills.
• Demonstrable interest in using data and quantitative methods within equity investing.
• Python and/or SQL experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with alternative data, systematic screening, factor analysis or statistical research particularly attractive.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation and public equity markets.
• Ability to communicate differentiated long and short investment theses directly to a Portfolio Manager.

Responsibilities

• Conduct deep fundamental research across public equities, developing actionable long and short investment ideas.
• Build detailed views around earnings, valuation, industry dynamics, competitive positioning and catalysts.
• Work directly with the PM on idea generation, security selection and portfolio construction.
• Use Python, SQL and quantitative analysis to complement fundamental research.
• Analyze large-scale fundamental, market and alternative datasets to identify signals and differentiated insights.
• Develop screens and systematic frameworks to identify potential long and short opportunities.
• Test relationships between company fundamentals, estimates, price behaviour and market factors.
• Monitor portfolio companies, earnings events and changing investment theses.
• Combine bottom-up company research with factor, risk and portfolio-level analysis.
