Job summary

Jefferies seeks an experienced Associate to support coverage of the advanced industrials and industrial technology sectors, focusing on automation & robotics, electrification, precision technologies, photonics, and power infrastructure.

The role involves building detailed financial models, analyzing industry trends, and developing differentiated investment insights for clients. Strong Excel, research tooling (Bloomberg/FactSet) and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
CFA or progress toward CFA preferred.
FINRA Series 63, 86, and 87 preferred (required within 5 months of hire).

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed financial and operating models.
Analyze industry developments and technology adoption trends to identify investment opportunities and risks.
Track catalysts through earnings, filings, and investor communications.
Engage with industry participants to assess demand trends and competitive positioning.
Author first-look earnings notes and thematic research on automation and advanced industrials.
Support market sizing and value-chain analysis to develop differentiated insights.
Communicate investment views to clients and collaborate with sales/trading.
Build relationships with management teams and industry experts.
