We are seeking an experienced Senior Equity Research Analyst specializing in the Technology / IT sector to join a U.S. Equity Investment Team in New York.

This is a buy-side equity research opportunity for an investment professional with strong experience analyzing U.S. publicly traded technology companies, developing investment theses, building financial models, and identifying attractive investment opportunities.

The selected candidate will work closely with senior investment professionals and portfolio managers, with the opportunity to take independent research ownership of selected technology companies and sub-sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental, bottom-up equity research on publicly traded U.S. technology companies.


• Research and evaluate companies across software, hardware, semiconductors, IT services, and other technology sub-sectors.


• Build and maintain integrated financial models, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow forecasts, and earnings estimates.


• Perform DCF, comparable company, valuation, scenario, and sensitivity analysis.


• Analyze quarterly earnings, SEC filings, company guidance, and industry developments.


• Develop investment theses, target prices, stock recommendations, and actionable investment insights.


• Monitor technology industry trends, competitive positioning, and market developments.


• Prepare investment research reports and presentations for portfolio managers.


• Collaborate with senior analysts and investment teams on new investment opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.


• 3–5+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Management, or Buy-Side Research.


• Direct experience covering the Technology / IT sector is strongly preferred.


• Strong understanding of U.S. public equities and fundamental investing.


• Strong financial modeling, accounting, forecasting, and valuation skills.


• Experience analyzing company financial statements, earnings, and SEC filings.


• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.


• Experience with Bloomberg, FactSet, or S&P Capital IQ.


• Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and research skills.


• CFA charterholder or CFA candidate preferred.


• Python or SQL knowledge is an advantage.
