Job summary

Purple Hires Inc. in New York is seeking an experienced Equity Research Analyst to cover U.S. technology stocks.

You will conduct bottom-up analysis, build three-statement models, and develop investment theses with target prices and stock recommendations. Ideal candidate has 3–5+ years in equity research or related role, strong Excel/PowerPoint, familiarity with SEC filings, and experience in DCF and comps. Bloomberg or FactSet preferred; CFA charterholder or progress toward CFA is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Equity Research, Investment Management, or a related analytical role.
• Strong experience in fundamental, bottom-up equity research.
• Prior exposure to the U.S. IT/Technology sector, including Software, Semiconductors, Hardware, or IT Services.
• Expertise in financial modeling, including three-statement modeling, earnings forecasts, and cash flow projections.
• Strong knowledge of DCF, Comparable Company Analysis, and valuation methodologies.
• Experience analyzing quarterly earnings, SEC filings, company guidance, and industry trends.
• Ability to develop investment theses, target prices, and stock recommendations.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; Bloomberg or FactSet experience preferred.
• CFA Charterholder or progress toward CFA designation is an advantage.
• Python, SQL, or other data analytics skills are a plus.
