Job summary

Unity seeks a Staff Compensation Analyst on the Compensation Programs & Strategy team. You will own broad-based equity program design, model retention, dilution, and run the monthly grant cycle end to end, partnering with Finance and Legal as needed.

You’ll drive compensation expense planning across base, bonus, and equity, build scenario models, and communicate with leadership. This senior IC collaborates with the Director to shape policy, manage budgets, and ensure compliance across programs.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in compensation with deep equity design, administration, modeling, and forecasting.
• Experience across compensation disciplines: architecture, pricing, incentive design, or compliance.
• Experience owning a compensation budget or partnering with FP&A.
• Models that are inheritable with clear assumptions and traceable logic.
• Strong program and project management with strict deadlines.
• Change management and ability to translate finance concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Comfort solving ambiguous problems and delivering defensible recommendations.
• Interest in or experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve work quality.

Responsibilities

• Own broad-based equity program architecture end to end — guidelines, sizing, refresh logic, and exception framework.
• Build and maintain models for retention risk, dilution, grant sizing, and allocation shifts.
• Define exception criteria and surface patterns of broken guidelines.
• Anticipate regulatory, audit, and employee-relations exposure in design.
