Job summary

DELFI Diagnostics, Inc. is seeking a senior Laboratory Operations leader to manage equipment lifecycle, drive reliability, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, and IT. You will lead qualification, PM, and decommissioning activities for diverse lab equipment and automated systems.

You will guide cross-functional teams to ensure compliant operations, support technology transfer, and mentor CLAs as needed, in a fast-paced clinical lab setting.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in life sciences, engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years maintaining and servicing lab equipment in regulated production.
• Experience leading equipment service and technical programs; people management preferred.
• Experience supporting high-throughput lab operations and automated systems.
• Knowledge of equipment lifecycle management: install, qualification, validation, PM, calibration.
• Experience managing vendors and external service providers.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Ops, Quality, Automation/IT and suppliers.
• Experience in regulated environments: CLIA, CAP, NYS, FDA, ISO or GxP.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain equipment management policies and processes.
• Own the electronic equipment inventory management system and records.
• Manage equipment suppliers, service contracts, and expenditures.
• Establish equipment support strategies and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Assay Development, IT for implementation and qualification.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting complex equipment issues.
• Monitor performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits with compliant systems.
