Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Equipment Reliability Engineer (Starship) to oversee crane operations, maintenance, and reliability across multiple facilities. This role demands strong structural and mechanical engineering expertise, with a focus on safety, quality, and performance in high-velocity programs.

You will lead test planning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of crane systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver on program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and maintain crane operation and maintenance; propose improvements.
• Identify opportunities for crane design and process innovations.
• Plan and validate new crane designs and modifications for safety and performance.
• Provide technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders on crane design and maintenance.
• Lead or contribute to crane engineering projects from concept to completion within budget and schedule.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations; stay updated on codes.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for crane activities.
