Job summary

You will work with little supervision, coordinating with crew members to complete complex projects, and may be called upon for overtime, storm events, and emergencies.

The role requires demonstrated experience with heavy equipment, a CDL Class B license, and a track record of safe, efficient operations in transportation maintenance and construction.

Qualifications

• Six months experience operating self-propelled mobile equipment across varied terrains.
• Six months experience in constructing drainage systems for storm water management, road maintenance and construction.
• Six months experience in evaluating and establishing traffic controls in a work zone.
• Possession of a valid CDL Class B Driver's License with Airbrake Restriction.

Responsibilities

• Operate on/off-road equipment to haul supplies to and from work sites.
• Control equipment with hydraulic/electronic systems and adjust controls as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment.
• Recognize and respond to environmental and road emergencies and hazards.
• Manage traffic in work zones to ensure safe movement of vehicles and workers.
