Job summary

The State of Hawaii Department of Transportation, Harbors Division is seeking a full-time Equipment Operator with a CDL Class A, Endorsement H, to operate heavy trucks and related equipment and assist with maintenance and construction tasks.

Candidates must have at least one year of general experience operating multiple types of motorized equipment and must pass federal checks including TWIC and pre-employment drug testing; out-of-state CDL transfer to Hawaii may be required.

Qualifications

• ONE (1) YEAR of work experience operating two or more types of motorized equipment as described.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class A with Endorsement H for hazardous materials.
• No restrictions on air brakes, tractor-trailer combinations, or full air brakes at application.

Responsibilities

• Operates two or more types of motorized equipment such as heavy trucks and rollers as a major assignment.
• Performs manual work in general construction and maintenance tasks.
• May operate graders and heavy tractors and performs other related duties as assigned.
