Job summary

Hamilton County in Cincinnati, OH seeks an Equipment Operator 3 to operate medium to heavy highway maintenance equipment and perform related labor tasks. 40 hours weekly with travel to various county locations; on-site role with safety compliance and on-call readiness.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent heavy equipment experience, and a valid Class A CDL within 180 days. Pay range $22.92–$30.38 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or vocational training in heavy equipment operation and two years' experience.
• Equivalent education/experience combination acceptable.
• Valid driver's license; ability to obtain Class A CDL within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Operate medium to heavy equipment on highway projects and perform related labor.
• Install culverts and pipes; cut and grade banks and road beds.
• Set up work zones, supervise safety, and perform basic maintenance on equipment.
• Record hours, loads, and fuel usage; assist with traffic control and signs.
