Job summary

The City of Bowie is seeking a Senior Equipment Operator in the Stormwater Management and Utilities Division to perform construction, maintenance, landscaping, and snow removal across the City. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Two years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Possession of a valid Maryland CDL B license.
• Experience performing heavy manual labor in construction, maintenance, landscaping, or related environment.
• Knowledge of trench safety and confined space entry procedures.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, landscaping and snow removal throughout the City.
• Operate heavy equipment including backhoes, loaders, tractors, commercial mowing equipment, and truck-mounted snowplows.
