Job summary

Navitas Credit seeks a highly analytical Credit Analyst to evaluate credit risk in commercial equipment financing and leasing. You will review financial statements, borrower and guarantor profiles, and discuss credit structures with Sales and Credit leadership to balance risk and growth.

The role requires at least 5 years in commercial lending or equipment finance, strong Excel and financial modeling, excellent judgment, and clear communication with brokers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, equipment finance, leasing, banking, or credit underwriting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills.
• Previous equipment leasing/loan industry experience required
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent mathematical and financial modeling skills
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently under tight deadlines
• Sound judgment in complex and non-standard scenarios
• Effective communication skills, including delivering difficult decisions professionally. Must be able to resolve problems from both internal and external sources.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, Dun & Bradstreet reports and other third party information to determine the borrower's creditworthiness.
• Responsible for supporting the flow side of the platform.
• Complete financial spreads and PD templates as required by Navitas' credit policies.
• Routinely engage with sales associates, sales management, funding and booking teams, and customer service.
• Make credit decisions on transactions within assigned credit authority and make recommendations on transactions requiring local Credit Committee approval or leadership approval.
• Maintain existing broker relationships. Assist with the development, implementation, and updating of broker programs
• Review funded transactions as required for auditing purposes

Education

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, equipment finance, leasing, banking, or credit underwriting
