Job summary

Bloom Energy in Fremont, CA, is seeking a Principal Equipment Engineer to support multiple manufacturing lines, diagnose and fix equipment, and contribute to safety and throughput improvements.

This on-site role requires a 7+ year background in manufacturing, expertise in robotics, motion control, machine vision, and proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks; you will lead FATs, equipment validation, and production handover with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 7+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with robotics, motion control, pneumatics, and machine vision.
• Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support equipment across manufacturing lines.
• Diagnose and fix manufacturing equipment.
• Assist with automation: PLC and HMI programming, motion/servo control.
• Modify control logic to improve safety, performance, throughput.
• Participate in commissioning of new equipment.
• Install, commission and support vision systems for inspections.
• Develop equipment specifications and documents.
• Oversee project timelines and coordination with vendors and teams.
